@sapphire @borzoi @graf They’d have personal jurisdiction if you could successfully argue the cause of action arose there (or minimum contacts maybe, but that’s a stretch) but agreed it’s way easier to do it in Defendant’s state.

@sapphire @borzoi @graf Oh oh oh I see what you’re saying - sorry. So to enforce a remedy you can transfer the order to another state and ask a court to enforce there. A few more steps than for an in-state Defendant but doable. That’s likely what will happen if he just refuses to respond to a complaint filed in CA or something - the Court will enter default judgment and graf will have to petition to have the order entered in VA for enforcement.
