When I was building my pc I was paranoid about static so while I work on it I have a pot of water boiling to make it humid so static can't generate.I have an ESD strap, but after the water it's a bit overkill.It's all a bit overkill since I don't live in a dry area, but I'm willing to boil a pot of water just for peace of mind

A few days ago I set up all my posts to delete after a year, ones with 100+ likes or boosts, that I favorited, that I pin, or that I bookmark won't autodelete. I set it to delete DMs too, I rarely DM so that doesn't matter much though.Just figured eh why not, it's not like they'd matter in a year anyway, plus if it frees up even a little storage for the instance that's good too.

I agree with what someone else said, but can't find the post anymore.I wish we could disable poll result notifications, most polls I vote in I just vote, but don't actually care about the end results. It's not a big nuisance, but no reason to not be able to disable it either.

I haven't had to touch a printer since I graduated from college, and I am so happy about this.Printers are evil incarnate, and probably sentient with their only goal to be as frustrating as possible.

@nedhamson I wish companies would just go back to making their regular form phones good again.I don't care if the phone can flip or fold, or has two screens. I just want the phone to work, have a good screen, and a good battery life.

It is extremely easy to find free/ad supported Japanese learning material online, but what has been really hard is trying to find #Indonesian material.A lot of the materials I’ve found are either formal, in person courses, or expensive online courses (which I don’t mind paying, but I like to get past early beginner stage before doing so).Does anyone have any recommendations? I’ve been doing the Duolingo course for it now to get by.Textbooks, courses, reliable Anki decks, etc

for some reason the hyperdimension neptunia rebirth 1 soundtrack .mp3 files have a 6492x6000px album cover embedded in *each* of the tracks and each file is like 20-25MB even as an mp3, this is all that the cover is so that's pretty excessive
