I know this is probably a long-shot, but if anyone is in or near the Salt Lake City Utah area or knows of someone who is, who might have a room they'd be willing to offer a room for a queer couple who struggle with mental health issues and their overweight border collie, please let me know. We can at least cover our portion of expenses (added utility costs, our own food, etc) but not much else. We value safety and empathy, but full-time employment is basically a non-starter for us at this time so we would be unable to provide a significant rental income to anyone.Thanks!

#Zoom employees and anyone else in similarly asinine situations where #ReturnToOffice mandates are implemented to exert control over employees and prop up outdated real estate boondoggles in the middle of another covid surge should start #CollectiveBargaining negotiations with an unassailable demand to be paid for commute time, from the moment their vehicle leaves their driveway. If the CEO thinks innovation requires commuting, then he needs to pay every goddamned cent to employees for doing so. AND that time counts towards 40-hr overtime. You want an employee to waste 4 hours of their life every day commuting? Then FUCKING PAY THEM FOR IT.

I know this is a long-shot, but it occurred to me as I prepare for yet another shift at a retail store giving it literally everything I've got and then some (and ending up with a sleep deficit and feeling so exhausted I can barely crawl to bed) for a whopping $15/hr, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask if anyone has any leads for a #DataAnalyst position.It turns out a great deal of my prior experience was of similar activities. I'm working on my "google certificate" as a data analyst but tbh progress has been incredibly slow as I deal with one life issue after another.
