@EscapeVelo I'd go with a crust and served with horse radish sauce, carmelized onions in cheddar cheese griddled to a crust. And a nice, crispy dill pickle or pickled onions to offset things.

@EscapeVelo I'd eat it. Especially if the cheddar sauce was made like we make our fondue cheddar sauce - with dark beer and horseradish. That stuff goes great on a sandwich. I think I got the recipe for it from a Melting Pot cookbook.

@EscapeVelo I've been watching some youtube videos I want to try - little onion fritters, finger foods, and they serve them with blooming onion sauce. They are about the size of tater tots, but flat.

@EscapeVelo @wizardmanperson After watching what goes on with farmed seafood, I started buying only wild-caught. Now, I can't even trust that - even if it is from any country adjacent to India. Unless it is wild caught in the USA, I'm not touching it. If it doesn't have country of origin on it, I'm not touching it unless I watched it come off the boat.

@EscapeVelo I'm too far inland to trust "fresh" seafood of any type. One thing I have been enjoying lately, is the tail off wild Argentinian red shrimp from Costco. It'll be nice as long as it lasts, since the Chinese fishing fleet is utterly devastating the South Atlantic right now. If our navy wanted to do something to help the world, it would forget the oil tankers coming out of Venezuela and start sinking those factory fishing ships.

Got mine from Craft Holsters. They custom made the straps to fit my shoulders and even embossed my initials in gold on the holster. Plus, I can remove the holster from the straps and wear it on my belt, if I want to.

He's the one who told me never buy seafood at the meat counter, but to go to the freezer section and get it as that's where they get the stuff behind the counter.

@EscapeVelo Like khaki. I was sitting in the ER after I got bit by a black widow and was wearing a tan Carhart short sleeved work shirt (button down) and grey Duluth firehose pants. I had people asking me if I was a Forest Ranger or Game Warden. It was pretty funny, because my outfit looked nothing like either of those services.

@EscapeVelo I have a can of Alumahyde II in both colors from Brownell's. One is just a hair darker than the other. You can pick out the stripes on the FAL. I forget which one was the darker one, though - probably the FDE.
