ok one more bit from this convo:old mate used to live in Ringwood. He sees on FB that the Ringwood RSL is having a 'tranny bingo' night. He writes an email complaining that "this is disrespectful to the diggers etc..." and gets told politely to fuck off by the RSL.He's not a member of the RSL, or an ex-serviceman. Just saw it on FB so decided he needed to complain.Where the fuck do these people come from?

the new ASQA RTO standards require trainers to be members of an industry association. RTOs are now creating their own industry associations. You cannot fix this industry with this kind of nonsense.

dropped some fucken clangers on the RTO forum just now. I am heartily fucken sick of clients who have bought an online training package thinking it saves them time, then the students turning up knowing fucking nothing but only having enough time allocated to be assessed.

the clients need to have this option taken off them for any of the advanced courses, it's really as simple as that. No one can learn remote area first aid by watching some videos, it's fucking nonsense. I've tried it, it doesn't work.

in theory they've learned all the basic first aid content and they come in for 6.5hrs to learn the "remote area" context stuff, but in reality they have no fucking idea what the signs and symptoms are for anything, so that has to be all taught from scratch before you can even start. I'm fucking sick of it.

I had two of these in my unit in the army. We called them the "Muji Wagon" because we turned them into our version of a technical. When we did road trips the Muj drivers had to leave at least a full hour before everyone else then we would catch up to them about mid-morning.

@cy no one is being forced to sell anything to anyone here, these people took a 'lowball' offer because they couldn't get a better one. This kid is willing to sit on these bikes at a higher price and take the risk they don't sell. No one has been lied to or "ripped off"
