@JesseSkinner l’ll never go back. I don’t care about popularly at all. I care that I joy-scroll here. I care that my timeline is filled with positivity, beauty, and interesting people. I care about the small handful of amazing new friends I’ve found here, and the few hundred new acquaintances who let me peep into their fascinating lives. Beloved Englishman had a bad fall Sept 5. He has Kaiser insurance. Ambulance took him in, Kaiser gave him pain pills and sent him home. (Note: he only took opiates for a few days. Not addicted)2 months later, not healed, still very painful. Kicked up a stink, demanded more x-rays/scans. Result: BROKEN VERTEBRAE. Should have been wearing a brace for past 2 months.

I am beyond furious. Had he been allowed to go to my good university hospital (love ya, #OHSU) I’m sure he would have had proper diagnosis and treatment right away. 🤬UK friends, save your NHS or die trying. Don’t let them privatize you into a US-style healthcare nightmare.*screams into void*

It’s so freeing to turn off notifications for boosts and favorites. It took me a week to stop caring if anyone liked or boosted me, and I don’t promise to never have another peek, but boy oh boy it makes the notifications list easier to scroll through and keeps me from getting a swelled head

Absolutely dreading this night. Not even going to try to sleep; for some reason thinking about sleep makes the coughing worse. I’ll just quietly watch BBC and netflix, sitting up, and hope the coughing fits don’t drive me into the spare room again. If I stay up late enough I’ll surely nod off at some point for an hour or two. Please, universe, don’t drench me in sweat on top of everything else. I’m losing my mind here. Losing. My. Mind.

Big stupid annoying phone call DONEI would like to outlaw the automated phone systems that want you to speak instead of pressing numbers like a sane person. I simply mash buttons until the system gives up and puts me through to a human.

I just had an epiphany. #MentalHealth is MORE IMPORTANT than physical health. My reasoning: one can have terrible physical health but great mental health and lead a happy and content life. (Me, right now)However, if you’re in tip-top physical health with crummy mental health, life is probably gonna suck. (Me, when I was younger)I’m sure this is not true in all cases!
