@Davidtoddmccarty A techie issue: when I tried to follow your Mastodon link back from the article, Norton gave me a "known dangerous site" flag. I'm not savvy enough to know all the reasons, but possibly just newness of the server? Or bells & whistles not yet tuned? I screenshot it & also the Norton statement & review, if you want copies to share with admin, or whatever. There are already two reviews there objecting to the status. I'm not sure what to suggest, but figured you'd want to know.

@Davidtoddmccarty Looks like this. Far as I know the server owner would have to dispute with Norton. Might not be worth the trouble...I don't have enough perspective.

So, a suggestion for birdsite expatriates who were/are heavy into USA political topics. It might be a good plan to tag your posts #USPol, NOT just #politics. Unless I've missed something, we're still in the minority here, and most of us are on non-USA-based servers. Some folks want their filters to work without dropping other discussions of interest. It's not the most dramatic sunset I've ever seen here, but compared to what others are watching, I rate it as approximate 100K times better than watching a winter blizzard. Well, I am not thrilled about having to #migrate. I get the issues, but the timing sucks, and I sure wish it was possible just to keep the status quo. Not that anyone has asked for my .02...but since when has that ever stopped me from commenting?? 🙄 Stand by for migration antics fairly soon.
