@Givemetruth Another one with the exact opposite experience here - every man I've known has always been all about the leftovers. A lot of them literally called themselves "trash cans".

I really miss a friend who moved away, but:- I resent her for not telling me she was moving- She's become an active anti-vaxxerI don't know if I should contact her or not. The whole situation sucks.

@Givemetruth I think it's both. I know my mom would sometimes cook fresh for herself while dad picked up what was left from the day before. But the men were also more keen to have leftovers as well as the fresh meal. However, I've noticed that the men seem to have a less "refined" taste and would eat anything, and at least in my family, the women would prefer to avoid leftovers if they have the option of cooking a new meal.

@Givemetruth I've noticed it too. It's similar to colours, women bother to identify shades while men will call pink red ...

I wonder if manly men dare use toilet paper with imprinted pink flowers, or is that too gay for their bro butts

Interesting how people with coloured hair, makeup, tattoos, piercings, fillers and heels always love to preach about self acceptance and authenticity.

Even when I was still working as a makeup artist, I always felt stupid talking about beauty. It was such an empty subject. Gushing about products and what they did, how miraculous they were, encouraging others to buy them ... I thought I felt that way because of social anxiety; that I was too shy to talk about things I loved. But it wasn't that at all. It was the subject itself, I just didn’t understand it back then. On one hand, I knew a lot about it so I could actually participate in conversation, which was always in a relaxing atmosphere of fellow women who loved colours and creativity. But on the other, there was a constant nagging thought in the back of my mind how we were wasting time talking about it because it was meaningless and even harmful. Yet everyone, including therapists, kept convincing me that was not the case. But you know what - I was right. I’ve always been right. I'm just more confident to believe my gut now that I have more knowledge after reading about it from a feminist perspective. And now I am absolutely sure beauty sucks.

@LittleSis @expertsuccubus They literally have that written in there so they don't even have to bother coming up with a line. Absolutely zero effort. Incredible.

@LittleSis @expertsuccubus Yup. Or complain how no women have written to them yet for some mysterious reason.

@ReSistingPink I've been having the same thoughts for a while, so I completely understand what you mean. I'm also someone who is extremely sensitive, and everything I see stays with me for years to the point it will haunt me, so I have to be careful what I read and how I spend my time. (I do have Asperger's though.) Social media isn't for people like us it seems, at least not with how it is now. I'll most likely be leaving too, just haven't finalised my decision yet because it can be lonely to not be part of anything... I support your decision because I know it's a difficult step but sometimes you just know what you have to do.

I find it difficult to understand the concept of identity. All my life, I've worked hard to overcome the chains and boxes that were supposed to define who I am as a person. I change too much to be labeled and defined. All I've ever wanted is to just BE. Free of the rules. Free of ideologies. Free of external things that could change at any minute and shatter me. That's all that identity is, really. But most people are so desperate to find their "true identity" instead of just letting go and existing.
