@boilingsteam I don’t feel like this is a concern for most steam deck owners. Seeing how it’s a handheld for pc gamers made by pc gamers, I think a lot of the people that buy a device like this are aware of its limitations. They’re probably not the same dreamers who thought the switch pro would was going to drop in 2020 with 4K gameplay, better battery life and still somehow cost and weight about the same.

@technewsbot while privacy is a big concern of mine, I really just don’t like the idea of my air conditioner taking up bandwidth lolI connect my TV to the Wi-Fi every couple months to check for firmware updates and then I disconnect immediately after

@boilingsteam I’m super tempted of the rumored prices are correct. I doubt that it would be easy but I’d prefer Linux on it as my interest in that platform has grown since getting a Steam Deck last year.

@boilingsteam I just trying toying with Linux for the first time (outside the steam deck) and broke my pc 😆I don’t blame Linux itself of course, I’m like 90% positive it was user error while trying to setup dual boot along my windows OS.
