@kingkaufman @futurebird I went to an all girls Grammar School in the UK back in the early 70s...I only went for a pee at break with a group of friends, who held the door and then we took turns to hold the door for the others. Safety in numbers. Later, at nightclubs, it was the same.

London Ambulance local management team has decided that a cat named "Defib" who has happily lived at one station for 16yrs has to be evicted. There are lots of petitions against this, naturally. Their latest 'reason' is that some staff members are "allergic to cats"...but refuse to say whether those staff members also therefore refuse to enter houses to do their job if there is a cat present. London Ambulance could not have picked a worse fight if they'd tried. #Defib

@futurebird The acceptance is that it's happened. Like death, it happens. It's undeniable. Denial, anger, bargaining and depression (the first 4 stages of grief) aren't really going to help I don't think in this case. Anger can be turned into solid resolve.

@Nonilex He can say what he likes, but the trust is gone because of the unpredictability of his boss, oh and the rest of them. To be "allies" there has to be trust, co-operation, understanding, reliability, actions to back all that. I'm glad Europe has woken up and is making solid plans, for itself.

All very good points, and demonstrates that applying a "wealth tax" is not a simple straightforward issue. If all of these points were considered in the assessment of "wealth", it would mean thousands of extra people would need to be employed to do these specialist assessments, a potentially very costly exercise.
