@DeWalt @YoungBlood Pretty sure you know the history, but the Kennedy admin opened an investigation on her father, the Baltimore mayor, who was very close with the local mob. Her brother got off on a rape charge during the 60s(?) and there's her son: https://nypost.com/2022/01/14/nancy-pelosis-son-linked-to-firms-probed-by-feds/None of this stopped my alma mater from proudly inviting her to a social justice composium with reps from Catholic Charities. LOSERS.

@Zennagain @Sven @YoungBlood I've heard of him, and have been deliberately avoiding him. Don't like Ben Shapiro either. Most don't remember that Ben tried to use his then girlfriend, Michelle Fields, to create a scene where she accused Trump's first campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, of assaulting her. There was a lot of negative finger pointing at Corey, but the end result was Shapiro and Fields leaving Breitbart. The Fuentes/Shapiro duels might be another example of political theater.

@Killer_Mule If she likes good tea I found a brand on Amazon - Vahdam - that is fantastic. They have all kinds of tea. For decaf they make a blue peaflower (yes, it's blue) and it has a really nice flavor. I always put milk and sugar in my tea. I also recommend Numi Rooibos for decaf. My daily is Revolution Earl Gray Lavender. For loose tea there is a new sliding cartridge brewer with tiny holes. Keeps grounds out of your cup also sold on Amazon.

@Killer_Mule I used to get so psyched when I lived in NJ and peruse all the seed catalogs and plan. Now that I am in Floriduh I bought one of those seed starter tanks. It's working out great for herbs. I transplant them outside once they get big enough. I bought a bunch of fancier cherry tomato types so I need to get those in the tank to transplant. Tomato season ends here about June. Looking forward to lemon pear and dark cherry varieties.

@Killer_Mule There's a brand on Amazon and they have their own website: https://farmhounds.com/account/ They are pricey, but frequently have sales. No fillers, it's all dehydrated gizzards, organ meats, gross things that dogs love to chew. My Boston terrier had started to pack on the pounds when we fed her the wrong treats so I switched to these.

@Killer_Mule There's lots of recipes. I think you need to make sure your concoctions are balanced. I feed a quality kibble - Victor - but I supplement with a tbsp of whatever vegetable or protein we are eating. My dog is pretty healthy for a 12 yr old lady.

@Killer_Mule So cute. Aussies are wonderful particularly if they are paired with the right owner for their intelligence.

@DeWalt @YoungBlood My Scots side emigrated later so they missed that fortunately. My grandfather still uprooted them all from Brooklyn to the Jersey Shore. A lot of the Scots settled in Kearny, a suburb of NYC. My grandfather did not like how his sisters' families were raising their kids.

@Killer_Mule I bought a set of Anolon ceramic pots and pans about 4 months ago. I have a non commercial gas stove, with some high heat burners. So far they've been great. I am glad I didn't buy those hex steel pans. I read a lot of bad reviews.

@Killer_Mule That's what I was talking about. I hadn't replaced my pots and pans (except for an occasional Calphalon) for over 30 years. I decided I needed to upgrade from Farberware. This was apparent after we replaced our stove. I got an excellent deal from Costco. The Hexclad reviews were godawful. I was a bit anxious switching to ceramic, but they've been great.

@ILoveAmericaNews @jeremiah Excerpt from Shelley's poem:Tell that its sculptor well those passions readWhich yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed:And on the pedestal these words appear:'My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!'Nothing beside remains. Round the decayOf that colossal wreck, boundless and bareThe lone and level sands stretch far away."

@ILoveAmericaNews @jeremiah The American humorist Ogden Nash satirized Shelley's poem: I met a traveler from an antique show,His pockets empty, but his eyes aglow.Upon his back, and now his very own,He bore two vast and trunkless legs of stone.Amid the torrent of collector’s jargonI gathered he had found himself a bargain,A permanent conversation piece post-prandial,Certified genuine early OzymandialAnd when I asked him how he could be sure,He showed me P. B. Shelley’s signature.

@ILoveAmericaNews @jeremiah If you were a kid who grew up in the 60s you would be more familiar with the Ogden Nash satire. His poetry was very witty and rhyme - y. Is that even a word? I think I'm lucky that I was exposed to poetry and literature then. I am also a huge fan of A.A. Milne of Winnie the Pooh fame. His poems are the apex of fun.
