BTW, as an update, I finally got a job. It's contract to perm, but I'm certain that I will get a full time permanent job by the end of the year... Now. I will have increased confidence if the FED comes through with at least two rate cuts (making the cost of money lower to corporations, so they will increase investment in talent).

Two years ago I met director Joe Dante. He was nice.Little did I know that he owned ROSEBUD. Yes, the sled.He was on the Paramount lot in the early 80s and he saw workers emptying out a prop storage area. He walked over. He then saw ROSEBUD. The workers said, "Hey we're getting rid of this stuff, you want anything?"He just sold it. For $14.75 million. I've been doing some number crunching on the opening weekend for Tron: Arse.It cost $200 million. They spent over $50 million to promote it.It's gonna make $37 million. MAYBE.Out of 267 million, this means only 250,000 people saw it in it's first three days.That's less than .1 percent of the adult population.Disney spent $200 per viewer to get their butts in seats.Hollywood blames... Holy crap.The opening weekend for Tron: Arse is now $33.5 million domestic, and less than $30 million international. So the actual marketing cost per US ticket buyer is more than $230 PER PERSON.EVERY DISNEY MOVIE released in 2025 so far except for two (Lilo and Stitch and Freakier Friday) bombed or underperformed.Poor movie theater owners and chains are SO fucked.What cannot go on forever... Won't.

Just noticed something that I find pretty shady.My YouTube history is COMPLETELY wrong.As in, it shows I watched over a dozen videos today that I never even opened.They WERE on my recommended videos list. And all show I watched every minute.Methinks Google is cooking the books to help sell more ads for videos by showing people "watched" X number of videos so they can charge more $$ to the ad buyers.Check your own watch history. See if it is the same for you.

Speaking of Tony Geary, that reminds me of my first official Star Trek convention in Vegas. It was at the Hilton, and I had pretty high status, so they put me on the club level. About everytime I got on or off the elevator there was Jonathan Frakes. It became a joke, "You again??!" and I had to tell him I wasn't stalking him, honest. A couple of times he was in said elevator with Mrs. Frakes... Genie Francis.She was, and still is, beautiful.That also counts as a #Trek Toot.
