@Canageek @DialMforMara KFCThey're not a particularly Christian country, but they wanted to join in with the rest of the world and seemed to choose another Western import to conflate with Christmas. The red and white design and bearded figurehead certainly helped!Most KFCs will get booked out for 25th by the start of November :)

@Canageek @DialMforMara do you have anything on Zwarte Piet (black Peter) from the Netherlands? He's a pretty controversial character at the moment, don't know if he's suitable for the level you wantHe's a Dutch character that follows Santa, with a face "blackened by soot" from going down chimneys. Unfortunately that just translates to a white person wearing blackface and being a comedy sidekick, which is... Problematic...

Good... Morning? I've been visited by the lergy fairy, and after nearly collapsing at work yesterday I've apparently been asleep for nearly a solid 18 hours :(Turns out I can't stand up without getting so dizzy I nearly black out, so I guess it's time for an endless Netflix marathon - anyone got any suggestions on what to watch? 😷
