Musk is explaining that he is not involved in politics, and he stood in line for six hours to shake Obama's hand. But now he is supporting Trump because Trump is the path to prosperity.

Back to immigration and criminals.Musk: We want...(and he starts listing things) and stop the welfare and (says more things). There it is. I said he was going to bring up cuts to Social Security or welfare.

Most of this conversation is a repeat of the Montana speech. Musk's contribution gives...OMG. Musk is talking about empathy for people. You need more than one layer deep empathy. You must have deep empathy for victims.Hey, Elon! Want to talk about your treatment of your daughter? Deadnaming really isn't empathetic.

Back to corrupt judges.Trump had a great life, and he didn't need to do this. He is doing this for our country. He is losing it. Musk: Here are my values. Safe cities, borders, decreased spending, and deregulation. Need a big project to get our country excited. And the environment.

@futurebird It was not good. Very similar to the Montana rally last week. Musk, however, laid out his intentions: immigration, deregulation, and cuts to government spending. He mentioned welfare briefly. I was pretty sure that when he brought up government spending, he was going to reference Social Security and welfare.

The new Ryan Murphy miniseries on the Menendez brothers. Pretty heavy. Not certain I like it. But Nathan Lane as Dominick Dunne. He is fantastic.

@stux I only saw clips of the interview, but it sounded like the applause decreased as the Trump "Weave" increased.

@TonyStark One of my issues with Democratic leaders is that they needed to assume that a MAGA or MAGA-lite candidate would win the presidency in 2024 and take steps to limit abuses. Unfortunately, I think many in leadership, as well as consultants and advocacy groups, thought the threat of a MAGA 2.0 should not be mitigated.

@TonyStark My allergy meds may be impacting my ability to adequately draft my thoughts. I was disappointed that immediately after 2020, there wasn't more of a push for reforms that would prevent or mitigate the return of MAGA to the White House in 2024. I say MAGA rather than Trump because it was uncertain that it was going to be Trump running in 2024. It may have been someone like DeSantis or Hawley. Mitigating the damage they may do, however, also mitigates the threat. And a lot of the 2024 strategy was based on an anti-Trump vote. I have nothing to back this up. I do wish though that Democrats passed more reform measures, including trading stocks.

I left the Democratic Party last July after Biden dropped out. I saw too many Democratic leaders, consultants, and pundits push for a contested convention without providing key details about how it might work. It seemed they knew who they wanted as the nominee, and it was not VP Harris. I realized that while they talk about policies that are aligned with Democratic values and priorities, there was a disconnect. I believe that by reregistering as an independent, the Democratic Party would be forced to actually sell itself. This article is focused on the Democrats fretting after Mamdani's win. But I suggest that it should be centered around Democrats not being able to understand that Cuomo might lose. A young Muslim with very progressive ideas beat an old disgraced politician who resigned as governor after sexual harassment claims were made public. Democratic leadership needs to take note: If you don't want the young non-Christian socialists to win, put up a good candidate. https://apnews.com/article/new-york-mayor-zohran-mamdani-trump-biden-1561ca0aa1821f88b97603f00221b64f

@stux I am a Christian, and I know that some of my friends who are atheists embrace and reflect Christian ideals more so than friends who profess to be believers.

@stux I'm noticing something in the comments. Most - including the one I just posted - are framing this through a Christian view point. There are other religions, and I am sure there are similar red flags in those.

@Remittancegirl @401matthall @therobburgessshow It was probably nine months ago that I read an article talking about how Democratic leaders were trying to deemphasize the effectiveness of Pete Buttigieg. It was thought that Buttigieg was too effective and supporting him would make him the de facto leader of the Democratic party, giving him an advantage in 2028. I absolutely believe that Schumer's ineffectiveness is because he is seeking neutrality for 2028. How stupid can the guy be? How stupid can all of them be? If leadership wants to be neutral, then they should find a way to give everyone an opportunity to effectively communicate rather than seeking to silence them. Schumer is pathetic.

@donhawkins @Remittancegirl @401matthall @therobburgessshow I want AOC to take Schumer's seat. It would be such a LMFAO moment.
