I am the primary curator of Haplogroup.org and other websites. I am autistic, a problem solver, social justice advocate, a genealogist, and a population genetics citizen scientist. By profession, I am a technical writer, a product manager, and a genetic genealogist. I joined the Fediverse in May of 2021. I think it has potential, but it also has a good deal of anti-neurodivergent behavior that is concerning.Education - I have a BS in something and have published a few papers. Blah blah whatever.Neurodivergence - I am autistic, dyslexic, dyspraxic, dysnomic, dissociative when in sensory overload, and have PDA (Which I struggle against). I am slowly working on letting go of autistic masking behaviors and recovering from self-critical (hating) perfectionism. I am highly emotionally empathetic, strongly compassionate, and mostly without theory of mind. I do have a long memory and strong analytical skills. Where I do not understand, I ask questions. I am well aware of mate crimes and getting better at spotting exploiters. If you don't answer questions, I don't trust you. All forms of ABA are abuse and covert manipulation.Autoimmunity - I have autoimmune disease that includes Celiac disease, hypothyroidism, and failing adrenal function. I am prone to deep dives on related topics.Narcissistic Abuse Survivor - I survived. I am recovering. I am still being stalked and harassed.Humor - My humor is morbid, sarcastic, and riddled with outrageously bad puns. I don't take myself seriously, and I don't believe in social hierarchies.Politics - I believe in flat democracy and an equitable social system. I was a capitalist until I grew up. We all have only a short time on this earth in the 'living' state. There is no wholesome reason for economic struggle and inequality. I have lived in poverty. I have missed meals. I have gone without healthcare, power, water, heat, and permanent shelter. None of that was useful to myself or humanity. I hate Nazi and fascists in all forms.Social & Climate Justice - I am deeply aware that both population genetics and genealogy are problematic. I am currently working on multiple writing projects to call out those problems. I am also interested in the impacts of climate change and the pandemic era we find ourselves in.Sex & Gender Identity - Sex is non-binary. Trans men are men. Trans women are women. Trans rights are human rights. I believe people's pronouns they use should be respected. Respect people's identities should they be femme, furry, or whatever. My sex is absolutely none of your business.Sexuality - I am asexual and gender agnostic. However, I have been in a non-exclusive relationship with the abyss since I was about 16. We enjoy long hours of mutual gazing. You cannot compete with the abyss; don't flirt with me. #Introduction #ActuallyAutistic #SocialJustice #Neurodivergence

@happyborg@fosstodon.org Indeed. We already have a problem with people acting like Mastodon is the Fediverse. I know from prior posts that Medium is considering implementing ActivityPub. For their users, it would be a very good thing. Thus, for now, I am treating Medium much the same as I plan to treat Tumblr when they become Federated.
