@chjara The Jewish diaspora didn't actually originate in Israel. A lot of "Jewish people" are decedents from converts in the north, the Palestinians are the majority of the descendants of the "original Jewish people" just mostly converted to Islam. And land back doesn't mean creating an apartheid state, it means giving the people that lived there and were displaced and oppressed a chance to take care of the land under their stewardship instead of colonial power structures to. The Palestinians getting Palestine back is consistent with land back.

@chjara the point isn't to give the land back to the people that were there "before" it's to give the land to the people oppressed by the colonial power structures, in order to break those down. Land ownership in general should be abolished, that in itself is a European colonial construct. The idea is to free the people, free the land. Not to assign the land to another group. I would say the colonialist did enough harm at this point with "owning" it.

Just goes to show that all this "problematic behaviour" is projection by neurotypicals, and autistic kids are treated unfairly by their parents and ABA "practitioners" (read: systemic abusers). It's all framing and making money off the back of kids that are then traumatized for life and use maladapted coping methods.I've been given some sort of "social skills training", and it didn't just teach me nothing, it actively kept me from growing as a person and accepting myself. And I had it relatively easy in that I'm not extremely traumatized.

@elilla I don't think advertisement alone can in that way control thoughts. I think it underestimates how much (most) people (not certain disabled people) ignore ads and don't see them as a thing to follow. But I do think manufacturing consent is a systemic thing that happens based on the information people get presented. I think the real threat places like Facebook and other social media companies pose is the monopoly on what information gets presented to people. We have seen that even though social media (and the internet as a whole) is arguably (meant to be) more democratic in the way it presents data and news, the systemic capitalist forces have overwhelmed it with their worldview. And they purge it actively of dissent. People have tended even more towards capitalist realism over the last years, even if socialist and anarchist movements have seen somewhat of a resurgence at the same time.In this way Meta does scare me in how much they want control over all facets of information dissemination to people, the methods now might be wrong, but the end goal is frightening.

I'm struggling this month again, I found a temporary job but nothing else is hiring me even though I have skills. Hey, I am a software developer and data scientist with experience in both fields. I mostly have experience in #python and #kotlin and some experience in #rust . I am really struggling to get hired anywhere because of my lack of diploma from my higher education, even though I (provably) have the skills to work anyway.
