@stux I've had to go to the hospital by ambulance a couple times in the past year. They still managed to ask me for my insurance when I was in the ER on a gurney with IV fluids and painkillers coursing through me.

@stux I can’t find to which committee or in what context Sagan was presenting but it’s interesting to see members of both parties hanging on his words. I wonder if he faced any ad hominem attacks posed as questions like he would today. I imagine similar testimony being criticized by Republicans as woke or characteristic of a left-wing agenda at American universities.

Fraud: President Musk’s ad will almost certainly misrepresent USAID and smear its reputation, portraying the odd wasteful expense as the norm. Further, it’s not a stretch to say the destruction of USAID and other agencies is to make way for massive tax cuts to favor the wealthy. President Musk is the wealthiest person on the planet.
