       @BrodieOnLinux The only edge case I have not seen anyone else mention is "custom" software. Wine might run the 00s MMO that had its server shut down yonks ago, but not the later made community launcher (though this is just about the literal example of an edge case).That still, of course, doesn't explain why you would want to even keep a Windows 7 machine online for any reason. Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
