@SirAnthony I'm sure. Someone probably started a cottage industry finding SS and Green Card numbers that would pass.

@CSB If there is any hand labor at all it can be hard to beat the cost of a Chinese supplier. I had a customer in Shenzhen that makes small solar panels. Very hard to automate. They have incredible quality and their prices are crazy low. The only way to beat them here, is to automate and be willing to accept low margins. "Best Price" for sure. Sometimes it's smarter to be their customer. Especially for components.

@adam I just want to say thank you to you and JCD, and Mo too. I had never listened to podcasts before I was hit in the mouth late 2020.Not a big producer but a small monthly guy.I hit my middle HR in the mouth and he's provided some info for the show and actually met you at a meetup, Savanna perhaps. Anyway, I enjoy the show. Thank you for your courage! ITM

@Iamthebammbamm @DarthRadar @Sabex Ok, I'm no expert but that cartridge looks like a rifle round, doesn't look to me to ever fit in that compact pistol. And if a load that size went off towards your face at an arms length it probably wouldn't stop for a mile or two, after going through the glasses and the head.As I said I'm no expert, but I am a highly skeptical person, at least I try to be.

Working on this live edge cedar coffee table. 1st layer of epoxy is down. My current thinking is 1 more epoxy coat with added UV screen in it. For the final coat I'm debating Tung oil or perhaps polyaspartic. I'm leaning towards the Tung oil. No risk of bubbles and it should be hard enough. The aspartic is fine but there is a risk of bubbles and sometimes it doesn't cure as hard as I should. I also have some 2k aliphatic urethane, but hardness and bubbles are a concern. Suggestions welcome

@NoBeret they don't much they sit on top. Tung oil hardens notuch film thickness but can carry some UV screen.

@NoBeret I'd like to find a truly non yellowing epoxy. I made non yellowing 2 component polyurethanes for many years. Problem is they react with moisture to create bubbles, so no good for wood. The so called urethane varnishes are long or tall oil varnish with a little TDI (aromatic, Not UV stable) isocyanate reacted in to make them tough and durable. Tung supposedly doesn't yellow, but it starts out so dark don't know how you would know.

@Woodbutcher Yes I agree. And being a coffee table it won't see much UV anyway.I'm going to keep thinking about making a better non yellowing epoxy like coating. Of course if it was easy or obvious it would have been done already.

ITM! A little flooding this morning. Big tide but not as much as the late December storm. More rain though. Fortunately the storm peaked around 4-4:30 and high tide wasn't until 6:30. Moon tide though. New moon tomorrow.
