Wavebox using 53GB of memory, locking up my system? Yeah, fun times... Good thing I separated my work tabs from Firefox into this "lighter" program, right? -_-

@malin Yeah, that number looks a bit off, but I can say that my system was barely usable (several minutes delay from input to action) and cleared right up when I managed to kill Wavebox.Since it wasn't using any CPU, I do think memory use was the culprit (or perhaps thread spawning run amok - though I suspect that would show as CPU usage).I do wish I had more data on it, but there was only so much I could get from the system in that state.

Question: How are people reading email these days?I've been using isync+notmuch+alot for quite a while but after reinstalling my system and putting off moving my setup to my home-server, I'm curious if GUIs might have gotten good enough to not bother with setting anything up?So, suggestions, anyone?(searching+filtering and fast navigation are must-haves for me)

@benis @matt Is it back in active development? Last I checked it, it seemed stuck between versions, with extensions being a bit of a gamble as to whether they'd work or not and no real roadmap.

What border colour do you use in your tiling WM?I have a suspicion that there's a trend here...

@ChrisWere I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I've tried having a dialogue with others, but so far haven't even gotten past posting initial questions without being met with either silence or instant bans.To me it's important to talk about precisely because the handling of the issue is so incredibly polarised and any discussion or even request for insight is met with hostility, which - to me - is an incredibly dangerous precedent to set in any science related community.

@nergal @s31bz I'd say you'd then need to get that sort of thing made illegal as well.

Can someone explain the benefit of this new web UX trend where we don't use hyperlinks anymore and clickable objects often aren't clickable because they get stuck in some "interactive" hover-state?(yes, YouTube, I'm looking at you)Is this the real Web3? Everything's a DIV and UX conventions are out the window?Maybe I _will_ start using the Gemini protocol more...#web #ux #accessibility #bringbackanchorlinks
