The decisions you make will be judged because you're taking on the responsibility.A woman wants to be able to submit to and trust her husband. She needs to be able to know that he can be the head of the clan and care for her needs and her children without having to micromanage and backseat drive. Women were not created for headship. Women find this exhausting and complain about having to nag their husbands all the time. Their husbands whimper "I do what I'm told, I do everything she asks" without realizing this is the most infantile and unmanly thing possible.The burden of authority is that even when things are outside of your control you're ultimately responsible. It's not only doing what you're assigned but also stepping back and seeing what needs to be done. When women do what we expect of them, what they're made to do, and when they submit they required commensurate leadership from men.This is the same burden placed on a King whose subjects willingly submit but then behead him for giving the wrong orders. It's not some sort of test. It's his duty and he failed. When a woman goes against her immediate judgment, chooses not to have an opinion, and listens to her husband and he fails to take that responsibility seriously he has failed his wife.This is why I have male friends I won't introduce to my single female friends. She probably hasn't thought about what she wants (it's your job to think about what would make her happy). She might only know that she doesn't want pizza until you ask her. Its your job to know her intimately, care about her experience, and then make a decision that reconciles all of the constrains (your preferences, her preferences, time, cost, location, etc)She's trying to trust you. She's letting you be the man.

My wife was like "Husband has got this, whatever happens, will be ok". She wasn't stressed. I was.But there is a profound synergy, I felt more capable and courageous because I knew she believed in me. She wasn't worried, and because of that, I was less worried. How many guys are in a relationship where their wife builds them up and makes their household more harmonious?

What's actually happening is that we're reverting to tribal politics where enforcement and rules comes down to who has what gang and what they can do. It's not that the state is arbitrarily applying the laws against us, it's that the laws are only enforced by those weak enough to have it imposed upon them Something something might makes rightI'm not sure if I completely buy it, but it's certainly a new way of viewing things
