This is fascinating. I've come across similar issues playing games with my kids. I made up a story for my 6yo that went for about 5 minutes. Asked him to make up a story, and he just told me back the same story, but changed 1 or 2 of the elements around. My 5yo is also completely incapable of giving her toys names. She will either call it the same as another toy she has. Or name it something directly descriptive, like "star" because it has a picture of a star on it.ty @bronze for the op.

He went to the movies and saw Ben Hur and loved the scene where X happened. He talked to his dad about it and his dad told him to never be a man like that. Johns dad wants John to have a similar relationship where they can discuss movies and life lessons together. I could write this out with dialogue but you can see we've got * John and John's dadTalking about * Johns dad and grandfather Talking about * Two characters in Ben Hur Without a lot of difficulty. The Princess Bride has a storytelling framing device, the characters in it talk, and Inigo Montoya tells a story about his dad and the five fingered man. At the point in the narrative you've got three levels of story happening but it doesn't feel difficult to follow.

But it is interesting to see that an adult with an 80 IQ has the equivalent mental prowess of a 5yo. They do make up stories all the time, but it's roll-playing things that they have already seen happen. The story test I gave my son was purely using imagination, at night in bed with the lights off.

When the husband says "what do you want for dinner?" He is really saying that the wife is in charge of organising dinner, and so she dithers because she is now trying to consider the needs of the whole household and then as a secondary consideration her own preferences. Being right or wrong isn't as important as being decisive.While it's not exactly the dynamic of wife and husband, it took me many years to learn how to be a good leader at work. I think I was on my way to being a good leader but then came the day of the needle and well no more needs to be said there. It took years to unlearn what I thought was right and get rid of the habit of basically coddling my staff. I had to learn to be decisive even when I wasn't sure I was making the right choice. As well as go against what my staff wanted and dictate what I wanted to happen because I thought it was right. I also had to learn to let them fail and stuff up so that they could grow.By the end of it my staff were happy (I hope) and we'd built a high enough level of trust that they could do their thing and come to me when something went wrong. I still made an effort to make the rounds every day or so and talk to them. But for the most part I trusted them to do their job and they trusted me to protect them when shit hit the fan.Does this mean I'm ready to be a Husband? Only the Lord knows. But I'm better off now than I would've been when I was young.
