@wjmaggos @donmelton I think the best way to convince others that you interact with on Twitter to leave twitter is for you to leave. Once enough people do, then those staying for the people they know will look around and see they're in a room full of jackals and hyenas. They'll soon leave too.

@atomicpoet Matt Binder, a journalist/podcaster I really like from the Majority Report with Sam Seder gets banned from twitter, sets up an account here, gets [edit] (tens of) thousands of followers in days, has his ban on the bird site rescinded, and then straight back to twitter with barely a toot here. The proposition that journalists were driving the charge to leave twitter is specious at best.

I'm a big fan of the mRNA vaccine tech, and have received both Pfizer and Moderna shots. This gouging is just sickening. "Moderna is quadrupling the cost of covid vaccines, from $26/dose to $110-130. Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel calls the price hike "consistent with the value" of the mRNA vaccines. @pluralistic when people complain about "big pharma", THIS IS IT! The "big [insert industry]" gripes are often overused and is sometimes the case with Pharma; but what Moderna is doing is pure evil. Profits over people...

@baseline in my country the Pfizer was the first mRNA vaccine available, so I got it. Later on, the Moderna was also available for boosters. There has been a number of studies that showed that getting boosters of different types produced similar or higher antibody and T-Cell titres, so when the Moderna was available to me I took it instead of the Pfizer. Secondly, there is some research showing the Moderna boosters may induce a better immune response for longer in some people.
