@Teri_Kanefield @Nothingisamiss when I was a child, someone told me "Maturity is being able to delay immediate satisfaction in favor of long term gains". Its hard, my kids would call it "Adulting"! Do not despair, we will get there and it will have long lasting consequences. We must make certain we get Democratic Representatives and Senators elected in 2024. Our work must never cease.

@Teri_Kanefield @kmcm I just saw a news piece about Chicago courts. Some people cannot afford bail and end up in jail for years. But they can end up in Court 50 or more times with no resolution. Some of these people are later found innocent. Covid contributed to some court delays but not all. It makes the current DOJ investigations seem lightning fast.

@TruthSandwich @desertdave @Teri_Kanefield I was once in the "DO SOMETHING" crowd. I now know better than to demand instant gratification. In my mind it is a short step from expedient popular "justice" to authoritarian rule. It is not easy to shut down the primal impulse for quick retribution, but that is precisely why we form civil societies. Our institutions proceed slowly to give everyone the best possible chance for freedom and liberty.

@Teri_Kanefield @neoczo Sure I am disapointed not to get to watch Fox News liars exposed in court. However, saying "Fox Won" is as false a report as saying "Dominion changed votes". It has a demoralizing effect on us. When someone tells me "Fox Won" they are spreading demoralizing lies. No more temper tantrums we have a democracy to save.

@Teri_Kanefield does Trump need to put up an Appeal Bond? If I understand correctly, it could be as much as the judgement. Appealing wont help him if he does not win and the money is tied up during appeal.
