Tried to upload pics of the smoke, but my device will not cooperate. Super smoky tonight. We were supposed to have windy conditions. Inversion layer apparently did not end as they forecasted.

It's not lasagna, it's not spaghetti. I shall call it "Lasghetti". It was amazing. Recipe makes probably 10 meals for two. To find recipe, look up Million Dollar Spaghetti. I added grated zucchini to the pasta and used 2x the onion and garlic and only the ground beef, no sausage.

@SweetIceTea @creeksidewilly My greatest concern about this quake was that the epicenter was just a couple of miles from Green Peter dam which is getting on in years and is an earthen filled dam. If Green Pete fails, all that water hits Foster dam 10 miles downstream and jeopardizes that as well. Hopefully, Army Corps are already all over it!

I'm not sure why, I am sensing, for some reason, that we may have power issues this winter. We are preparing for that by adding dehydrated foods (faster cooking), such as instant rice, soup mixes etc. Found these dehydrated refried beans. Just add boiling water.... I had little hope that they would actually taste good. SURPRISE....joke is on me. These are delicious. 1 cup beans to 1 cup boiling water. Doesn't even need salt! Great fast food for your littles also.

@LoveAlmonds Thank you so much, but it's actually laziness. Things are so much more difficult without running water, instant pots, and electric stoves! I'm just eliminating the need for any of that.

I forgot to sleep last night. Actually, I was quite sick all night, but I digress. My physical reaction to exhaustion is I get freezing cold. Blankets and heavy clothing don't do much to bring me back. @creeksidewilly knows this so he gave me a present. 2022 FIRST FIRE! five minutes after he started the fire, the wind began to blow, its now raining leaves. I have my warmies, I have fall finally happening, chicken soup for dinner. I am so blessed to have this life. Thank you honey!

@KodiakIsland I'm here any time you have questions. Feel free to email me, I will dm you my email address. A good basic book is The Encyclopedia of herbs. Another thing I would do, is find out what grows in your area that you can wildcraft. I would say that is of utmost urgency. I'm expecting at some future time we may lose internet, so start a note book with pics, descriptions etc. Next, focus on what YOU can grow. And we can get into that more, but I'm outa space!
