We drove into town & I saw a municipal building with a distant town’s name on it and said “that’s weird—why would that building have that town’s name on it?” Later found out someone is shooting a teevee show set in the other town.

@clive Ah, yes, the, uh, rating... it's...uhh, colder than "quite chilly" but above "frigid." The box runs about 20-30 degrees warmer than outside on sunny days. This is the last of the edible greens in there; I expect the mint will come back in spring; curious to see if "delicate perennial" rosemary might come back if protected from frost. I have some boxwood cuttings in there as well, hoping they'll survive.

@clive All the materials except aluminum straps, hinge, and fasteners came from the neighborhood, too. Someone's deck demo, someone else's window replacement, some discarded flooring scraps I found on junk day, a strip of an old Sotheby's promotional banner I've been using as a tarp, couple pallets from my garage, plywood scraps from making the kids' beds.

@clive After is too late; to survive any survivable apocalypse you have to have already surrounded yourself with the community you need to survive in. And if we all did that... no apocalypse! You already have the solar array; I only have one panel on the shed.
