But he is a bloody criminal.I genuinely think there should be harsher sentencing for police who do things like this, not leniency. They have to be held to a higher standard because of the powers they are allowed to wield.

Apparently Lindsay Ellis is currently getting cancelled on twitter. While I don't agree with a lot of the hypersensitivity, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't feeling a bit of schadenfreude after she did the hit piece on JKR.I think that's the issue hanging round with the perpetually offended, they always end up eating their own

@sub_aetha I dunno 9 times out of ten when I go into my kitchen to make tea JKR is outside banging on the window holding up various placards of hate. Yesterday she was on an anti-snail bent. I'd almost be impressed at her energy if it wasn't so exhausting. I tried to chase her off with a broom but she just climbed into my bin and flew around the chimney.I tried putting down sage but she just ate it.

@tangleofsnakes ooh I have a good tip for this, while they're still hot roll them around the empty pan (give it a bit of welly just don't let them hop out) so you essentially get loads of teeny tiny fractures all around the egg, then once the shell is good and squishy you can usually get the whole shell off in one

@RockTheBoat I actually found that my period was super painful after my first jab (I got Pfizer) it seems to have settled again now but the unofficial poll of my friends makes me think it's connected. I'm still very much glad I got it but we should be able to open about side effects as well

I'm about to go on holiday with a bunch of couples and apparently have had the temerity to want my own room. This is not on, apparently my choices are to bunk in with a baby or share a room with a bloke whose already propositioned me once before. I really hate how self absorbed all my married friends are, I think literally the only reason I want a partner is so I don't have to do the sofa bed shuffle

@tangleofsnakes I am, I feel like my solution would be to split one of the couples and I'd share with one half and the propositions with the other but surprisingly none of them seem to want to go for that option. The other solution I have is that I just bunk down in each couples room per night, just be like 'suprise motherfuckers, if I don't get privacy neither do you.'

@ninapaley If you've not read it already the Gift of Fear has a chapter on dealing with stalkers that I think you could probably find useful. It's slightly creepy how similar to the examples given in the book this creeps email reads.I'm sorry this is happening to you, it must be quite scary
