Reading about firefighters smashing an autonomous vehicle to get it to stay out of their hose lays.Y’all, firefighters are peak incident responders, they will do the necessary to put the fire out. If the necessary happens to be a car that is paperwork and a problem for the bosses after the fire is out.We should hire more firefighters into Infosec.

@OpenComputeDesign a fire engine can also push just about any regular vehicle out of the way if they need to, but then they have to do a damage inspection on the engine too.

@timdesuyo yes, do it, find your local shelter/ rescue and explain this to them. They will equip you with a suitable feline.

Who’s not ready to examine their feelings today? Because I’d love to ask if you are okay. If you aren’t sure you are okay, consider checking out these two handy infographics to see where you might be on the continuum. If you think you are okay, skip to the second one first and see how you do.We get normalized to some really damn abusive things that are presented as “the way things are” or “the way things have always been” and I’m here to call bullshit.Stop and take a moment, check yourself, how does your body feel? I carry my stress in my shoulders and neck. I carry my pain and sorrow in my ribs and pecs.It is fine and normal to not be okay. It is fine and normal to have struggles. It is not fine and normal to live in those states and pretend you are not.I lied to myself for YEARS because it hurt less than admitting I was not okay. Thankfully I had started resolving that before I got #LongCovid because I had to get radically honest with everyone (and myself) on the regular.Yesterday I was struggling, today I am surviving. Burnout is only a flickering stage 1 thanks to my team.#mentalhealth #burnout#noalttextsorry it’s some heavy infographics

@hacks4pancakes @jamiesaker and you need to actually hire people to do it, not just add it as another job role to security.

@jamiesaker my followup thought being: how are they protected. There is a parallel to audit that cyber governance also needs a level of shielding from retaliation. One of my greatest regrets is putting my job safety over doing the right thing because I was not safe from retaliation in a previous role.

@EU_Commission show us the animal consumption. Humans are a drop in the bucket compared to livestock usage.

Return to Office is my nightmare. Thanks to COVID I’m now likely permanently disabled. Trying to RTO me is effectively the same as trying to fire me. I can do my job, or I can come into the office. I can’t safely do both.#LongCovid #returntooffice From: @soatokhttps://furry.engineer/@soatok/111164254827567460
