@strypey @purism Hmm, the phrasing sounds accusatory, and #FUD.ish. On the other hand, you can see in every monthly report mentions where #Purism has upstreamed software fixes and enhancements, which are then available to every project/linux flavour. @futurebird It is a lovely feature!It would be nice if the length of time were user-configurable: _X_ [seconds | minutes | hours | days | weeks | years]. There are people I would not mind muting until after work/the Olympics/the Election/school year starts/tomorrow.

@danirabbit Desktop linux is just a hammer. You can paint it any colours you like, but it is still no more 'woke' than a hammer ever has been.No doubt the hammer was condemned by those using rocks **without** handles as too effete for words.There is more than one kind of tool, after all.

I am here, on the edge of #Canada, in part because I am increasingly convinced this is likely the last summer most of us will be alive.For reasons, I expect the #USA will invade, soon. I expect PM Carney will surrender, possibly before the invasion.Even more sadly, I will likely survive. Unless I choose to not.In a way, this trip is my last chance to see some places already undergoing rapid change, a bucket list check-off. I love Canada.#cdnpoli

@futurebird I have a TV. It sits in the living room. It hasn't even been plugged in since the last move, and I think I watched something on it about 4 years ago.No time, and far too many things I find more interesting to do than sit passively to be entertained.
