Signups aren't open.Which makes me think that this data is lacking a lot because there are a few people who have migrated to the #fediverse but not Mastodon.

I agree that there is a language barrier getting into the weeds with it because the documentation is heavily Japanese with a few English translations (I’ve been meaning to see if I can help with translation but have been preoccupied with just learning) and it takes a really dedicated admin to get it working just right. The racism accusation gives me pause because that is part of the reason I am no longer using pleroma - there’s a lot of receipts out there about pleroma devs known association with problematic groups. I haven’t had much interaction with the Misskey devs so I can’t speak to their racism personally.
