@jezra @NYbill This sound like a great plan. In this case I just started the tmux session myself. So when the server got power-cycled, it didn't come up again without my intervention....

That's a historic moment, I finally decided to actually create a backup of my server - a real backup, not just periodic ZFS snapshots. Let's see how many years it is going to take from here to reach level 2: offsite backups... #FreeBSD #ZFS

@pla I just read on this article that Wahoo bicycle computers can be connected to Linux over the MTP protocol using libmtp https://support.wahoofitness.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000127910-Connecting-ELEMNT-BOLT-ROAM-to-Desktop-or-Laptop-Computers - any chance that you could give this a try on your Ubuntu box? (As you see. I'm not giving up... 😉 )

@clacke @heluecht True, the pumpocalypse lead to the disappearance of identi.ca from the OStatus landscape which in turn lead to a way more distributed OStatus net. Of course there were others, if I recall correctly Friendica and Diaspora were both already around at that time - but both speaking their own protocol, unable to interact with OStatus.The upside and challenge of today's situation is the fact that there are a lot of ActivityPub implementations floating around.Speaking of pump, is pump.io still thing and is Evan still around somewhere?
