There's not much in California's GDP that isn't bubbling, though. Tourism, agriculture are pretty reliable considering the state's already equipped for the wealthiest of tourists, but real estate, SV, the supporting industries around SV, even the state industries are overvalued and underperforming. Not every one, to be sure, but enough that the trend can't continue now that SVB has shown its hand.

Bear can be a bit of a wild one. Ready for a fight. But good heavens, after a round on the treadmill and a leash walk around the perimeter, he will stare up at me calm and kind for like 15min, not a wanting look, just idle staring. He acts like it's an absolute disgrace to have to wear the gentle-leader, he is deeply insistent on walking past me instead of walking with me, but when I hit the right notes he lets me know how much he appreciates it.

@Moon do you use ergo for your irc server? I'm trying to set one up with an authenticate-user script against a fedi instance, but it doesn't seem to be behaving correctly (despite appearing to work fine from the command line). Did you hack a script together for that yourself or is there something I missed in my looking about?

@Moon I was able to get it working! You can't rely on STDIN to have EOF'd like you would on the command line so you have to use something like ruby's STDIN.gets or equivalent getline functions, instead of straight reading from STDIN as though it's being piped.

I don't know what happened with MongooseIM that leads me to think it just died of the dumb, but it's not a big worry since the IRC server is up.Instead of scaring everyone on the current collapse with immediacy and all that, instead I'm trying to take it chill. collapsitarian will probably stay up for a while more but it's being deprecated in favour of collapse.pub, which will offer some services like IRC and, when I can get the damn service to work, XMPP, that SSO from pleroma.there's no rush, but @Ignace @xue @mutebird @w0rm @has @Mk2 @sysrq @f0x you'll need to send me a chat or a dm, so I can get you an invite in these currently somewhat paranoid times. Other friends (and you know who you are), feel free to ask for an invite as well.I don't know how _the collapse_ became something so meaningful to me, and not just me, but it did. This wasn't an easy decision to make and I took my time on it, but it is the best decision to make for many reasons. The drawbacks are obvious; pic related.
