I'm just not excited at all when it comes to custodial solutions. Credits and ledger databases have existed on the internet for decades. All of bitcoiners saying "just use WoS bro it's great it's just for fun anyways who cares" have really missed the plot.

You'll find out one day what's the problem with everyone using the same popular non-kyc custodial mixing service. It's not bitcoin if it's a database entry. You're creating a false illusion of what bitcoin is to the people you say know nothing about it and holding it to their expectations on the off chance they look for some other solution, which they probably won't. Why would they? They started with WoS and "its working great, everyone is recommending it and doesn't think there's a problem". Maybe build in non custodial bitcoin solutions into your app or recommend how people can start actually using bitcoin.

I don't want to follow this person. I simply do not want an app that automatically censors anyone that someone has a personal problem with. This person essentially IS globally censored. All it takes is one report from a popular account.

Agreed, non-custodial will never be better from a UX perspective. Any feature is significantly easier to develop and use if it's custodial.The only areas it is better is only figured out when it is too late. Which is why it is important to be loud about it literally constantly to try to remind people what they've signed up for.

I hope all of our eyes are on the prize here. There's a coordinated effort to fight us and while it is fun tinkering with social media and unregistered money service businesses/custodians, we're going to lose the base upon which we stand unless we stay deligent.In Two Weeks™️ that all changes for me and I've never been more driven. The problem with building specs that cater to custodial use cases is that it makes it even harder for non custodial devs to adopt them because they aren't made with them in mind.Build non-custodial first, and maybe more will get done on those fronts..

And that concludes my last day at Voltage!We didn't quite ship non custodial zaps to your voltage nodes but that'll probably be soon. In the meantime try out the just in time liquidity LSP we shipped while I was there. Works on LND/CLN/LDK. Think "Phoenix/breez for any node". Currently just testnet but they're looking for more integrators before mainnet. Next week - cabin by the lake retreat and then onto being the change I seek in the world with my best friends. 💪💪💪
