Inflation and tariffs only would simplify everything and allow people to perform economic planning more easily, allowing them to have something approximating a decent life. I don't give a shit whether the catharsis theory is true or not. I care about the immutable laws of economics and the structures built up for protection not being turned around and used against good people doing good things. These people should be ostracized, but there need not be any legislation on private stuff that doesn't hurt anyone. There need not be any legislation at all about anything, nor a government, for that matter. All of it is always counterproductive. You should have the ability to kick them out of your community by mere contract and private property rights. Exile and whatnot.
