I'm slowly starting to understand how the fediverse works, and the more I understand, the more it feels like the "clunky but we made it work" technology scrambled together by the resistance in Star Wars, but also somehow with Firefly and Red Dwarf vibes.This is actually immensely reassuring to me.

I try not to follow anyone who is happily and willingly participating in spreading covid, and I gotta say it's pleasant how often I see someone post something about climate/environmental issues, go to check their feed, and discover they're also anti-covid and pro-disability-justice 😊Didn't happen nearly so often over on the bird site.

I would like to get better at reading other people's fitness/exercise toots without the little defensive reaction my brain does. I just don't know how?
