       If they haven't already, Mastodon server admins and moderators should form a union/certification process that has a code of conduct policy and share block lists. That way users can jump between certified/member servers and know that the instance is well moderated. @tfardet @ajroach42

       @leo Your own post here betrays your point. You list a half dozen large podcasts apps that all have to support the protocol or risk losing out on the next big item. Sure there are exclusives, but they are the rare exception. The problem isn't that there are big players in the podcast game so long as no player has a Monopoly. And we are quite far from that risk when it comes to podcasts.

       @mastodonmigration The biggest missing feature in Mastodon that prevents this is the lack of a way to post only to local servers. Mastodon can't be used like you describe because every toot is public.

       @Robminchin Now that we finally got #Artemis off the ground, I 100% believe that the Artemis mission should be to build an Arecibo replacement on the moon.The tools and engineering that would be necessary to construct such a telescope on the moon would have immediate value in a great many other lunar endeavors we might choose from.
