       @kaia It sort of exists. But it's cluttered with a lot of waste and malicious #web sites and obstructed by search engines that don't surface the stuff that I'd like to find with them.In creating this alternative internet (call it #SmallWeb or whatever) we also have to take care of making it findable.Creating blogrolls and directories, using inline links and link lists as much as possible, sharing OPML files and posting about interesting or important pages is good. But it doesn't help very much in the scenario where someone is using a search engine that seems to almost entirely ignore those indicators of valuable content.So for me the main question currently is: How do we (/I) support alternative #SearchEngines? Or do we have to make us stop using them like we have to abstain from using #BigTech products?
