I was personally mad about how he went about it. It's true that shit costs a lot of money at scale but his "no fuck you" rather than at least humoring the community by listening was where he went wrong. People seem to forget that nothing is free even if it's given to you for free, and Torba seemed to forget that his customers are what keep his business alive.

For the longest I was on twitter. Then around 2018 I created my first Gab account. Then nuked it after the bowers situation popped off. Once that settled down I recreated another one. Even then it was a secondary account. But I found a lot of good people to talk to on there. I knew about fedi when gab tried but I didn't mess with it until I saw Trevor Goidchild talking about Poast. January of 2022 I created that account. Didn't do much with it. Then in November of 2022, I created my NCD account. I didn't know how all this worked but there was people on NCD I wanted to follow and I thought I had to create one on NCD to be able to follow people there. Once I found people like Matty, Joe and a few others I kept with my NCD account. Even then , it was semi dormant until the whole free loader shit Torba pulled back in march of 2023 then I switched to here permanently. Deleted Twitter and Gab shortly there after. My Poast account stays as a back up alternate account.

Made my Gab account in 2019, then made my poast account in 2024 when the "freeloader" bullshit happened on Gab with Rob sperging out and a few days later had my Gab account banned because I made fun of Durbo's faggot brother... on POAST. My account got reinstated after our Japan anon fren (forgot her name) called out the bullshit from the Gab jannies. Went back a few times to Gab but in the end the insanity from Durbo and a lot of the users was getting too tiring.

At one time, for a year (maybe two), I had a paid sub on Gab. I let it lapse when the real BS started and I was getting harassed by Fuentes 'rapists' and Turbo did nothing about their wreaking havoc on the platform. They ran roughshod for a long time and zero was done about it.I found my way to Poast and have been donating $20 a month ever since. The behavior that was tolerated on Gab would NEVER be tolerated here and that's worth a lot. Turbo, fed that I suspect he is, can fucking suck it. Same with that nutter Rob.
