you should've just gotten a code reader. something like a camshaft or crankshaft position sensor could've been an easy diy fix.

In my husband's Hyundai, we was going to do that but when we took it to the shop to see what was going on, due to neglect by the previous owners the engine was on the verge of bricking out due to the comical engine type for that model and year of car. Mechanic ruled the car a mechanical total loss. He ended up and quickly trading it in for his Toyota, neglecting of course to tell the dealership the engine was 7 shades of fucked and was ready to be sent to the scrap yard.

I promise you, there is an elaborate procedure you could do to shut it off. Start ignition, shut if but place it in run three times than click the belt twice and start the car 17 times. Masonic shit...It's in the manual.

Because I won't photo my handbook. Have AIProcedure:Prepare the Vehicle: Set the parking brake, ensure the transmission is in Park (or Neutral for manual), close all doors, and ensure the seat belts are unbuckled. Ignition: Turn the ignition switch to the RUN (ON) position. Do not start the engine. Wait: Wait approximately one to two minutes until the seat belt warning light turns off. Buckle Sequence: Within 60 seconds of the light turning off, buckle and unbuckle the seat belt three times at a moderate speed, ending with the belt unbuckled. Headlight Toggle: Turn the parklamps/headlamps on, then turn them off.Second Buckle Sequence: Buckle and unbuckle the seat belt three times again, ending with the belt unbuckled. The warning light will illuminate for three seconds.Final Toggle: Within seven seconds of the light turning off, buckle and unbuckle the seat belt one time.
