I rewatched every episode last year. Holds up. My girl is a big fan of DC animation so we also went through both Justice League cartoons. Wanna do Batman Beyond for the first time. Only seen the movie.

Sounds amazing. Dragon ball still seems like that kid show that my little brother liked for no apparent reason... I should probably catch up and watch it someday and quit being some old grouch. But just drinking alone on a boat and dropping dead seems more likely.

Batman Beyond isn't half bad. They had a one off villain that went on Alex Jones rants that the fan base liked so much they kept bringing him back and like Dale Gribble they occasionally slipped real opinions they had into his mouth.

Seed of Might is over rated. I don't think it is bad and support the attempt, but people have been going nuts over it and I've only seen two examples that I would call a significant improvement over the original. Tree of Might is... not a good story, and frankly they didn't have to do Goku's friends that dirty I mean come on let them beat a few henchmen FFS. But the animation in it was good.

I am making noise and will continue to make noise. But if he wants to pirate the original series that would be just as good in my opinion.So long as he doesn't support the official release. Tarble was his name I think. I can't believe that special renewed interest in Dragon Ball frankly. I liked the first Battle of Gods but everything else that has came out has been pretty awful, and the constant assault on Bardock needs to stop. The Bardock Special was good, we don't need him going back in time or a retelling where he supermans Goku off to Earth.I do have a soft spot for the first few Dragon Ball movies where they tried to retell the events of the main series. That was a neat idea, a shame they gave up on it.

I get you. But you must consider the gap of time and how thirsty we got for new dragon ball. We would have knob gobbled any product. Nothing has touched the end of Z. Thats a fact. 1997 I believe it was, it all peaked in Japan. I'm someone who would argue namek saga was peak and the clear ending. It makes no sense that they'd build up a universal threat only for some nerd in a case on earth to make something worse. No way.

People complain about the Buu saga, and they aren't wrong to, but compared to everything that came after...My biggest complaint for the android stuff is Bulma knowing who Gero was and where his lab was. You'd think she'd have told Trunks when she built the time machine.

Yeah at this point Dragon Ball is about the lore investment. Been into it since 1996. Buddy of mine clued me into it way early, and we were emulating halfway translated NES and SNES ROMS and ordering horrible quality fansubbed VHS tapes by the crateload. 6 hour tapes that had been copied 50 times. Atrocious quality to watch what would take many more years to come out officially in the states.

@Mozgus @lord_nougat Most nostalgia for American cartoons in the '90s is grossly unwarranted, but that really was a terrific series. Both technically and narratively, it was leagues ahead of anything else telecast stateside.
