       It's my considered opinion that a Roast Beef, Ham and Turkey Club Sub is always a disappointment.  You always want the Roast Beef to shine, but it doesnt...and the whole sandwich becomes a bland disappointment.  Much better is a Turkey & Bacon or even a Ham n Cheese. Most deli roast beef is a huge disappointment.

       You hit upon it there: beef needs it's own sandmich to really shine, something like the Chicago Hot Beef (which is a kinda-sorta local take on the French Dip) for instance.  It just doesn't work subbing ham out for beef on a cold-cut sandmich.
