what i mean is i don't really pay attention to the sizes of htings i'm using and i don't really have memorized the sizes of various bolts and nuts, so every time i need a wrench or socket i pull like 3 or 4 of htem and try them all.

i gave my mom an idea todaythat i had a thought aboutwe got a covered storage area that's open on 3 sides right behind the building i'm living in nowand i says to her "have oyu guys thought about the idea of just closing that in and making it a room? it could be my bathroom shower and laundry room plus maybe a little storage, it's pretty big, and i could finish the small storage room in back that has no insulation and stud walls, and put shelves in there for all the soap scents to get htem out of my way, and have a lot more space to myself here, and you'd save some money and not drastically change the buildings on your property etc etc"

I see a strut nut and the 3/8 hardware + unistrut hardware = almost infinite possibilities for very stable structures. Home gyms, garage shelving supports, all kinds of fun stuff. I have shelves in my garage that are string enough to hold up about 5x more weight than they'll ever have to, but that's the point.

Yeah I use a fair amount of unistrut; not as cheap as it was in the good old days, and people seldom just give away the tailings like they used to. But it remains my go-to for sticking alternative motors in places where they don’t normally go 😆
