@bleedingphoenix Reviews in general cannot be trusted anywhere. You can only trust people whose opinions, tastes or priorities you *know* are similar to yours. That's why I think the Steam curator feature and word of mouth are more reliable.

@bleedingphoenix It can be hit or miss. I follow some "DEI/Woke detected" curators and although they will let me know when a game is not worth supporting because it has shit writing and infinity-niggers, they will also label shit like Steins;Gate as "woke" because it has a trap in it (that you turn into a girl and get preggers in one of the endings, but that's besides the point :loli_cum:).

@bleedingphoenix I got straight to the negative reviews, because the ones on top are usually the most thoughtfully written reviews, positive or negative. If there is nothing about sinful or anti-consumer practices being done, I then weigh how much the negatives mentioned would detract to the appeal of the game to me

Most "gamers" these days have never even played an actually good game. They just play slop. Anything after the 360/PS3 era was when the slopification began. Modern gamers refuse to play old games, probably because of graphical fidelity, that or they only play games to socialize about them and thus the new thing is what they want to talk about. The oldest game that modern gamers play is probably Skyrim, which while not bad, is also not that good either, though it is better than Fallout 4 and 76. I guess my point is when all you eat is shit, you are content with eating shit.

@WhitestTemplar @bleedingphoenix im not gonna lie to you i grew up in the 90s and the past can keep 99.9% of those games. Anything prior to the PS2/GCN/xbox has aged like milk and piss unless it’s a greatest of all time game or one of two or three genres that is completely unchanged from that time
