@black6 I talk to a lot of teens on the phone at my job. What is an epidemic nowadays is their zero-effort speech patterns. They've been doing it to their parents for years. And they can't even demonstrate the slightest interest in anything they didn't think up. They think they sound cynically mature.

@PNS "zero-effort speech patterns"This describes so well what I've noticed as well in the younger generations. Every English speaker should take a basic Latin course. Latin is case dependent, not word order dependent, but by having to think about case it then makes you consider how you say things in English, and, consequently, your English becomes more precise.
