I respect that. For myself it depends on the context of the dox. Dropping public info is a Grey area for me due to the fact that your local government website has the information on every single citizen readily avaliable on the site but on the other hand anonymity is also a factor. For myself I publicly use my face so if you find out who I am irl (you'll be super disappointed to find out im a regular guy who portrays a character online and not actually the character I built myself up to be 😉) and that would be on me because I publicly use it. Now for hitting back on the anonymity side if you dont use your face like I do then I completely get not wanting people to know who you are. More context would be doxing with malicious intent such as trying to get someone to swat you or show up at your place ect. One thing you'll find out about me is a I like to call myself the ultimate fence sitter because I see nuance and shades of Grey in literally everything. Its a effect of my ASD and it absolutely fascinates me

Dropping public info isn't doxxing imo, but I guess it depends on how you define public info. I only consider it public if the individual posted the information themselves. Personal info gets doxxed by all kinds of people/groups all the time, sometimes you even have to dox yourself for work/marketing etc, but if someone doesn't distribute their information themselves in a similar context of scenario then I consider it off limits (again excluding pedos/zoos). If someone violates that, by doxxing others in this case, then they're 100% fair game too imo.
