RE: https://oldbytes.space/@gloriouscow/116332911688709828this pointed out a weird issue with lightpens that I'd forgotten about:you can't point at black spots on the screen. Such a strange limitation. Imagine having to design a UI around not being able to have clickable black areas?

@dysfun it sure is! but it's an inherent limitation of how the lightpen works: it's looking for light. black areas on a CRT do not emit light, so the lightpen can't see them
