@jon Do you know about the PKP RIC-style carriages parked in Vilnius apparently on broad gauge boogies ? I'm quite confused, what are they doing here ? Are those SUW 2000 ? Were they forgotten here years ago or are they here actually to experiment with regauging again ?#CrossBorderRail

@ignaloidas @jon No, I wasn't fast enough. Behind the maintenance building south-west of the station, two or three RIC-style carriages.

@lewd@zug.network @jon@gruene.social You mean here? And you're sure they're not LTG Link ones?

@ignaloidas @jon No, they were definitely not Ammendorf-style but RIC-style and also in old PKP livery.

@lewd@zug.network @jon@gruene.social hmm, weird, I haven't seen that before, and afaik there has been no talks about using SUW2000 for passenger trains recently. Might go check it out today

@ignaloidas @jon Maybe I'm wrong but I'm sure I saw RIC coaches there. Definitely not the typical corrugated iron of the Ammendorf carriages.

@lewd@zug.network @jon@gruene.social couldn't go on the weekend, but went today for work, are you sure you're not thinking of this? This is an old museum D1 DMU, just that the ends are hidden by buildings, it is somewhat similar in colors. Can't do more photos rn but in the evening can take a couple more from the other side
