Horses are another. Family had one that we loaned out to one of these outfits that let the mentally handicapped 'ride' them as some sort of therapy and you'd think that's what he wanted to do his whole life he was so good with them.

I do miss it, but the breed organization has been spiraling downhill for decades now. (run by a bunch of women, who'da thunk?)Politics rather than skill/conformation dominates competitions now. And the majority of class divisions are for half and 'anglo' (less than half) breeds anymore.Perhaps if I lived someplace closer to wide swaths of public land I could stand to go do my own thing.
