       Apparently they fished it up, pulled out the second drowned crew and operated it again as a stealth surface ship that was powered by hand cranks with a big mine on a stick in front of it.        It took me so long to find this, but this is a reconstruction of a submarine from a few decades later. It was designed for salvage work rather than war and the idea was to roll it over the lakebed on wheels rather than propel it like a ship.
