The guy that decided that a beeper speaker header on motherboards should no longer exist when a motherboard doesn't even have debug leds, let alone a 7-segment display, should be hanged from the nearest ceiling.

You know this pretty good feature PCs had from the start, let's remove the speaker at first and then completely remove even the ability to install one.

@mirq You wouldn't want the customer to buy a new mobo when it's the processor that is dead, would you. Actually no, buying an unneeded mobo isn't always likely to result in it getting returned, so actually selling a new unneeded mobo is better. :povgun:

@phnt @mirq it's okay they moved to LGA sockets so if you install the CPU slightly wrong you can fry the board or CPU or you get a no ram beep code because the pin was bent

@sendpaws @mirq There's also this in the server market which is guaranteed to kill motherboards when DC hands inevitably fuck up this socket or don't use the correct torque spec.image.png

@foxdickfarms @phnt @mirq just wait till you buy a vw/audi and half the screws are these as well instead of bolts (this is why the t25/t30 wrench bits are sold out at home depot 24/7 btw)
